Veuleman, and one sister, Cynthia Kay Veuleman in Heaven, on the morning of Sunday, March 16, 1986. Mike had lived all of his 32 years in Pleasant Hill, La. As a resident of Pleasant Hill, Mike was a good neighbor and citizen, serving four years with the Pleasant Hill Volunteer Fire Department, where he was an assistant fire chief. Mike had battled many fires, helping protect the area he loved. He was killed in route to a house fire of a close family friend. Mike was a Christian, and devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Pleasant Hill, where he served in many capacities, including membership on the usher committee, the building and grounds committee, and as assistant youth Sunday School teacher. He was also a member of the Young Adult Sunday School Class. He was a 1971 graduate of Pleasant Hill High School, and had been a welder-fitter, at Nabor's Trailer Plant in Mansfield, for the past fifteen years. Mike will be missed by many friends and neighbors. His surviving family include his mother, Mickey B. Veuleman of Pleasant Hill; two brothers, James R. Veuleman, and Jeff Veuleman of Pleasant Hill; one sister, Mary V. Jennings of Eunice, La.; his grandmother, Mrs. E. P. Brown of Shreveport, La.; one niece, Anna Raye Jennings of Eunice; and many aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Pallbearers were Jerry Barnes, Bobby Dilliard, Harold Dilliard, John Neal, Alfred Stennett, and Henry Touchton. Honorary pallbearers were the employees of Nabor's Trailers, and members of the Area Volunteer Fire Departments. Services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 17, at the First Baptist Church of Pleasant Hill, with Brother Vernon Stephenson, and Brother Gayle Dean officiating. Burial was at Springridge Cemetery near Pleasant Hill. Mike will be greatly missed by all.
