Burial was at St. John Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Veuleman died at the age of 59, at Highland Hospital in Shreveport, on October 17, 1987. Survivors include his wife, Mary Veuleman of Robeline; four sons, Jerry Veuleman of Houston, Tex., Alvin Veuleman of Many, Ronnie Johnston of Port Orchard, Wash., and Richard Johnston of Los Angeles, Calif.; five daughters, Janet Hanna of Houston, Carolyn Gebhardt of Houston, Tex., Elizabeth Altman of London, England, Pamela Gleason of Houston, Tex., and Tamela Kubicek of Houston, Tex.; one brother, Johnny Veuleman of Montgomery, La.; two sisters, Elsie Colston of Marthaville, and Mary Ellen Clark of Many; 14 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Pallbearers were Odis Faust, Robert Underwood, Robert Lambert, Enoch Cross Jr., Peter Grey, E. J. Lapeyrouse Jr., and James Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers were the faculty and students at Many Jr. High School.
