All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Myrtis Patton Veuleman Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtis Patton Veuleman (Mrs. Willie Henry), 75, of Shamrock, were held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 25, at the Friendship Baptist Church. Rev. Don Dyess, Rev. H. H. Tibbits, and Rev. Aubrey Veuleman officiated. Burial was in Friendship Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mrs. Veuleman died on November 22, in Hughes Springs, Texas. She was born January 6, 1920, in Shamrock. She married Willie Henry Veuleman on April 5, 1935. He preceded her in death January 19, 1989. After graduation from Draughn Business School in Shreveport, she worked as a bookkeeper for several business. Among those are Sunbeam Bakery, Hamel's Dairy, Shreveport Sash & Door, Turpin Lumber Co., and Stan's Record Shop. She was also employed by El Chico's and Sansone's Restaurants, before returning to Many, where she was employed by TG&Y until retirement in 1985. Survivors are four children, Glynn H. Veuleman of Many, Helen Brondo of Dallas, Tex., Dianne Morgan of Hugh Springs, Tex., and Michael J. Veuleman of Shreveport; one sister, Louise Wiley of Many; five brothers, Ira L. Patton of Sparks, D. L. Patton, Riley M. Patton, and Huey C. Patton, all of Many, and Marshall J. Patton of Leesville; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Eric Veuleman, Michael Brondo, Johnny Seymour Jr., Danny Veuleman, Stephen Brondo, and Bryan Veuleman.
