Rosary was held at 7 p.m., Sept. 6. Funeral mass was conducted at 10 a.m., Sept. 7, Father John Pardue officiating. Burial wishes were cremation with interment in St. John's Cemetery, along with the ashes of her late husband, Ivy Lee Vines. Lillian passed away at 10:50 p.m. Sept. 4 at the Christus Schumpert Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was a lifetime resident of Many, a 1954 graduate of Many High School, lifetime member of St. John's Catholic Church, and a retiree of the state of Louisiana. Mrs. Vines was preceded in death by her husband, Ivy Lee Vines. She is survived by her mother, Mary Michael; sister, Alice Michael; three sons, Stan Vines, Greg Vines and wife Karen, and Chris Vines; four granddaughters, Allison, Alaina, Taryn, and Lauren Vines. The family wishes to thank Dr. Greg Founds, and his staff for their attention and care. If so desired, memorials should be directed to the angiogenesis research of Dr. Judah Folkman.
