(Bill) Vines, 60, of Center, were held at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 12, in the Mangum Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. J. Carroll Chadwick officiating. Burial was in the Oaklawn Cemetery. Mr. Vines died Wednesday, Jan., 10, in Schumpert Hospital in Shreveport, as the results of injuries received Dec. 2, 1972, in a car accident, in which his wife was killed. He was a native of Noble, and was an employee of the city of Center, for the past 18 years. Survivors include a stepson, Hughey Lord of Hamilton; four brothers, K. C. Vines of Center, Spurgeon Vines of Converse, Custer Vines of Chula Vista, Calif., and Hughey Vines of Fort Bragg, N. C.; four sisters, Mrs. Oma Dewire of San Augustine, Mrs. Alfred Bell of Kallene, Mrs. Verne J. Doran of Portland, Mich., and Mrs. Jack Porres of Nederland; and three grandchildren.
