The Rev. J. P. King officiated, with burial at Beulah Cemetery near Marthaville. Arrangements were under the direction of Drewett Funeral Home in Mansfield. He died Saturday, Nov. 28, at 1:30 p.m., at his home, after a sudden illness. Mr. Vines, a native of Many, was employed by Thornton and Brooks Oil Co. in Mansfield. Mr. Vines is survived by his widow, Mrs. Kitty E. Vines; sons, Jimmy Wayne Vines, and Sam Houston Vines; and daughter, Mathilda Louise Vines, all of Mansfield; brothers, Ben Vines, Bobby Ray Vines, and Ronald Dean Vines, all of Marthaville; sister, Mrs. Mary Alice Moffett, and aunt, Mrs. Elsie B. Davis, both of Shreveport.
