Mitchell Garland Vines

  Funeral services for Mr. Mitchell Garland Vines, 90, were held
Saturday, April 28, at 10 a.m., in the Warren Meadows Chapel.
Interment followed in the Converse Cemetery, under the direction
of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Rev. Richard Teeter, and Rev. Bud
Mitchell officiated.

  Mr. Vines passed away at his residence in Converse, Thursday,
April 26.

  He was a member of the Sabine Parish School Board for 18 years,
and a member of the Converse United Methodist Church.

  He is survived by wife, Annie L. Vines of Converse; three sons,
Mitchell Gilbert Vines, Billy Garland Vines, both of Converse;
Alan Leysath Vines of Lake Charles; one brother, Mack Vines of
Benson; one sister, Hattie Springer of Alexandria; four
grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
