Louis Vines

  Funeral services for Louis Vines, age 82 years, were held
Thursday at 10 o'clock, at the First Methodist Church, with Rev.
J. W. Matthews, pastor, officiating. Interment was in the Many
Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Funeral Home.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Louis Vines; two sons, Edward
Lee, and Gerald Vines, both of Houston, Tex.; brother, Van Vines;
and sister, Miss Emma Vines, both of Many; and three
grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were T. M. Phillips, J. W. Lucius, J. M. Belisle,
Joe McNeely, Benny McNeely, and John V. Nash.

  Mr. Vines passed away at the family home on Main St., Wednesday,
after an extended illness. Until his retirement, he was active in
public affairs, serving as Parish Assessor for a term.
