Rev. George York of Arcadia will officiate, with the Rev. Ray Rolon Spiller assisting. Mrs. Van Vines was born in Athens, and reared in Gibsland. She was the daughter of Alonzo Davis Bridges and Sarah Bledsoe Bridges. She was a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 172, a charter member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a charter member of the Many Book Club. She was a member of the Sabine Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also a member of the Shreveport Woman's Department Club, and attended the first European tour with the club group. Survivors are two daughters, Betty Vines Diesen of Whittier, California, and Catherine Vines Davis of Many; two grandchildren, Frederick Van Diesen, and Nannette Elizabeth Dieson; and a sister, Mrs. Bonnie Bridges Henry of Shreveport. Pallbearers will be R. L. Maxey, Louis Maxey, Dick Underdown, John Varnado, Gailor Phares, Michael Dailey, Tommy Dailey, and Edward Lee Vines. Honorary pallbearers will be Emery Williams, Robert Cole, Horace Tompkins, Jack Carmichael, Georg Boyens, Roy Alford, Marian Tannehill, John V. Nash, and Ralph Vines.
