She was born in Coulterville. Funeral services were held in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Natchitoches, at 2 p.m., Tuesday, with the Rev. S. J. KeKeuwer officiating. Burial was in the Fern Park Cemetery, under the direction of First National Funeral Home of Natchitoches. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Thomassee, and Mrs. Floyd Doolittle, both of Many; one son, James K. Vercher of Opelousas; two sisters, Mrs. Alphonse Thomassee, and Mrs. Monroe Bennett, both of Natchitoches; one brother, Meade Gallien of Jasper, Tex.
