Effie Rubylee Varnado

  Funeral services for Effie Rubylee Varnado, 84, were held at 2
p.m., Saturday, September 10, at Alford Heights Baptist Church.

  Rev. Daniel Mappus officiated. Interment was in Friendship
Nazarene Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral
Home.

  Mrs. Varnado passed away at Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston,
on Friday, September 9, 1994.

  Survivors are one daughter, Jerrie and husband Allen Lee of
Ruston; one sister, Ethel Howard of Many; two grandchildren,
Patti Daugherty, and Buddy Marsalis; five great grandchildren,
Misty Martinez. April Lewis, Holly Marsalis, Jennifer Marsalis,
and Shuan Tay Linton; two great-great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Bob Oxley, Gerald Knippers, Spencer Faust,
Benny Knippers, Keith Martinez, Charles Knippers, and Honarium
Richard Ingram.
