James Whitton Webb, Sr.

  Mr. James Whitton Webb, Sr., died Thursday, Dec. 2, 1982, at
2:20 a.m., at Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport, after an
extended illness. Mr. Webb, a resident of Belmont, was 89.

  He is survived by two sons, J. W. Webb, Jr. of Shreveport, Joel
Webb of Belmont; one daughter, Linda Chapman of Shreveport; one
brother, Emmett Webb of Many; nine grandchildren; and three great
grandchildren.

  Funeral services for Mr. Webb were held at the Union Baptist
Church, Friday, Dec. 3, 1982, at 2 p.m. Brothers J. P. King, and
Johnny Garrett officiated at the services. Burial was held at the
Belmont Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Warren
Meadows Funeral Home.
