Webb, 79, were held at 10 a.m., Thursday, November 15, at the Wellman Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Howard Cole of Pinecroft Baptist Church, officiating. Graveside service at 1 p.m., Thursday, preceded burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Many. Mr. Webb passed away Tuesday, November 13, at Willis Knighton Hospital, following a short illness. He is preceded in death by his parents, S. F. Webb Sr. and Lollie Brumley Webb of Mt. Zion Community; two brothers, Amos, and Glenn; and a sister, Pauline Webb McClung. He was born in Noble on March 10, 1911, the eldest of ten children. He has lived in Shreveport for 41 years, where he has been a faithful member of the Pinecroft Baptist Church, serving as a Sunday School teacher for several years. He is a retired Sales and Facility Manager for the Singer Co. Mr. Webb is survived by his wife of 53 years, Winnie Morton Webb; two daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Ray Thomas of Shreveport, Deanna and Allen Sheffield of Hardin, Texas; five brothers, J. B., Dennis, and Raymond, all of Mt. Zion, S. F. Jr. of Shreveport, and J. Ray of Dallas; an adopted brother, Arnold Martin of Irving, Texas; and one sister, Louise W. Austin of Napoleonville; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers, in Shreveport, will be members of Senior Adult Sunday School Class at Pinecroft Baptist Church, and nephews at Mt. Zion.
