All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Joel Hervey Webb Funeral services for Mr. Joel Hervey Webb, 68, of Belmont, were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 10, in Union Baptist Church. Officiating was Rev. Johnny Garrett. Interment followed at Belmont Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Webb died Monday, July 8, at the Willis Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport. Mr. Webb was a native and resident of Belmont. He graduated from Belmont High School. He served in the European Theater during his tour of duty in World War II. He retired with twenty-five years service, as a Lieutenant with Troop G of the Louisiana State Troopers. He retired from the Public Service Commission in March of 1991. He was also a member of Belmont Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. And Mrs. Jim Webb; and a brother, J. W. Webb. He is survived by his loving wife, Joann Webb of Belmont; four sons, Kevin Webb and his fiancée Tene Quinones of Belmont, Jerry Webb and his wife Sonja of Shreveport, Ronnie Webb and his wife Debbie of Dallas, Texas; and Tom Golmon and his wife Lisa of Alexandria; one daughter, Barbara Richardson and her husband Ronnie of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Linda Chapman and her husband Wendall of Shreveport; nine grandchildren, Jarrett, Chris, Amber, Jessica, Matthew, Joel, Jordan, Amy, and Michael; two nieces; and two nephews. Pallbearers were Glenwood Bullard, Ken Chapman, Billy Maxie, Jim Peterson, James Napier, and Tim Sepulvado. Honorary pallbearers were C. G. Bullard, Melton McFerrin, Doyle Eaves, Col. Martin Flores, Commissioner Timmy Powell, and Captain Wayne Morgan.
