All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Thomas Lyles Wyche Funeral services for Thomas Lyles Wyche, 81, of Benton, were at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 26, at Plain Dealing Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Lannie Parnell, retired, and the Rev. Mark Kennedy, pastor of Plain Dealing Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial was in Plain Dealing Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Marshall Street Chapel. Mr. Wyche died at 2:50 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 25, at the Veterans Administration Hospital, following a lengthy illness. A native of Plain Dealing, he had lived in Benton the past 14 years. He was a retired cattle farmer, and a land lease engineer. He was a veteran of World War I and II, a deacon of the Benton Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Plain Dealing Masonic Lodge No. 237, and the American Legion. Survivors include his widow, Marion Orene Walters Wyche of Benton, Two Step sons, Henry H. Walters of Many, and Roger D. Walters of Longview, Texas; one step daughter, Jolene Whitfield of West Monroe, one sister, Elizabeth Fant of Shreveport; and nine grandchildren. Pallbearers were Judge Monty M. Wyche, Clyde Hamiter, Bobby Wyche, Gillum S. Wyche, John Fant, and Max Fant.
