Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 10, at Otts Funeral Home Chapel, in Sulligent, Ala., with interment following at Crews Cemetery. Bro. Mike Becon, and Mr. Jerry Paul Otts officiated. Mrs. Weeks was born March 13, 1919, to the late Ed and Willie Smith Erwin in Marion County, Ala. She was married to the late John Paul "Butch" Weeks. Mrs. Weeks was a homemaker, and was retired from Health-Tex in Guin, Ala., where she worked as a seamstress. Mrs. Weeks was a member of the Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Annette Otts of Beaverton, Ala., and Barbara (Thomas) Brookshire of Many; two grandsons, David (Sandra) Otts of Columbia, Tenn., and Jerry Paul (Martha) Otts, Birmingham, Ala.; one granddaughter, Angela (Michael) Snow, Morris, Ala.; 12 great grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Astin, Hamilton, Ala., Mamie Aldridge, Glen Allen, Ala., and Laverne Johnson of Guin, Ala.; two brothers, Ed Erwin of McCalla, Ala., and Olith (Jettie) Erwin of Winfield, Ala.; numerous special nieces and nephews, friends, and neighbors; and her church family at Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Weeks was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Paul "Butch" Weeks; loving parents, Ed and Willie Erwin; precious great granddaughter, Amanda Dawn Otts; dear sister, Edith Hugley; brother, J. J. Erwin, and husband's parents, Charlie and Della Weeks, and all of their family. Pallbearers were Roger Swindol, Benny Hugley, Tommy Astin, Clayton Barnes, Mike Northington, Art Strobel, Roger Brasfield, and Ernest Gibbons. Honorary pallbearers were Judge Ed Gosa, Dr. Gary Thomas, Bill Johnson, Walter Weeks, Robert Lucas, Murray Wright, Nathan Tittle, and Ricky Mobley. Otts Funeral Home, Sulligent, Ala.
