Walter Burdette Wise

  Services for Walter Burdette Wise, 72, were held Monday,
November 2, at 2 p.m., at Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church in
Readhimer. Officiating was the Rev. David Godwin, and Rev.
Stewart Toms, with Dr. Shelton Young assisting. Burial was in Oak
Grove Cemetery in Readhimer, under the direction of Edmonds
Funeral Home in Jonesboro.

  Mr. Wise died Saturday, October 31, at his residence, after a
lengthy illness. He was a retired carpenter, and a member of the
Wallace Baptist Church of Pleasant Hill.

  Survivors include his wife, Ozeal Victoria Wise of Readhimer;
two sons, Alton Wise Sr. of Mooringsport, and Lee Wise Sr. of
Readhimer; two daughters, Inez Davis of Little Rock, and Janice
Roberts of Saline; three brothers, Otis Lee Wise of Shreveport,
Roy Anderson of Atlanta, and Virgil Anderson of Morenci, Arizona;
one sister, Willie Ruth Wagley of Robeline; and 11 grandchildren;
and 11 great grandchildren.
