He was born Dec. 21, 1929 in Texas. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 21 at First Baptist Church in Many with interment following at Many Cemetery. The Rev. Floyd Loven, Jr. and Dr. Ed Scott officiated. Survivors include his widow, Patsy Wages of Many; two daughters, Carolyn Lyddy of Many and Linda Snell of Center, Texas; one son, Gary M. Wages of Many; four sisters, Joyce Barbee of Canton, Texas, Daisy Barrow of Georgetown, Texas, Rosalie Loven of Trinidad, Texas and Nelda McCauley of Canton, Texas; and one brother, Carson Wages of Palestine, Texas. Mr. Wages was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Dewitt Wages and Delia Mae Wages; one son, Homer Dewayne Wages, three brothers. Jack Wages, Douglas Wages and J. W. Wages; and two sisters, Hazel Wages Elliot and Tura Mae Wages. Pallbearers were Timothy Lyddy, Buddy McDonald, Craig Richardson, Ronnie Richardson, Stephen Snell and Wesley Snell.
