Mrs. West was a member of Union Spring Baptist Church and a homemaker. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3 at Waters Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Bro. Keith Dendy and Bro. Ed McDaniel officiated. Memorial service will be at Union Spring Baptist Church in Converse Thursday, Oct. 9, at 7 p,m. Bro. Lane will officiate. Survivors include six daughters, Mary Ann Ryan of Converse, Laura P. Ellis of Booneville, Miss., Bettie S. Hamby of Vicksburg, Miss., Barbara Oglesby of Glenn, Miss., Sally West of Tupelo, Miss., and Patsy B. Gram of Fort Worth, Texas; two sons, Herman Lee West and Danny West both of Greenville, Miss.; one sister, Stella Mullens of Baldwyn, Miss.; 26 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Mrs. West was preceded in death by her husband, Chester L. West in 1981; three sons and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Lee West, Perry Vochran, Morris Ellis, Bill Ryan, Tony Oglesby, Donnie West, Rusty West, Adam Hamby, Trey Stevens, and Phillip Watson.
