Mr. West was a truck driver for the Melton Truck Lines. Funeral services were held Sunday, in the Mount Olive Baptist Church. Burial was in the Loran Cemetery, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville. Also killed in the fire were Mr. West's three step-daughters, Denise Martin, 10, Jackie Martin, 7, and Kim Martin, 4. The girls were natives of Shreveport. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., today, in the Whitehall Baptist Church near Cotton Valley, with the Rev. Joe Cannon Officiating. Burial was in the Whitehall Cemetery in Cotton Valley, under the direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville. Survivors include their mother, father, Huey Wayne Martin of Houma, two sisters; Debra Ann Brown of Shreveport, their grandparents; Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Martin of Houma, and Mr. and Mrs. Mason Simmons of Many.
