The Sabine Index - N. P. West

  16 Sep 1938 - Funeral services conducted by Rev. J. R. Williams,
Rev. Huffman and Rev. C. W. Williams were held at the Methodist
church Sunday morning for N. P. West, 88, who had died at the
home of his daughter, Mrs. George Phillips, Friday at 12:30.

  Mr. West was born and reared at Burkville, Texas.  He was
married to Miss Sudie Charlotte Davis at Milam, Texas.  They
made their home in Texas for a few years, then with their
children moved to Many in 1886 and made this place their home
ever since.  Mrs. West preceded him in death 17 years ago.
Since then he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. George
Phillips.

  Mr. and Mrs. West had five children, three of whom are living.
They are:  Mrs. George Phillips, Many; Herbert West, Shreveport;
Mrs. C. P. Wilson, Valdosta, Ga.  He also leaves 14 grandchildren
and five great grandchildren.

  Interment was in Many cemetery with the Dennis-Green Funeral
home in charge.
