Mrs. Jane West

  Mrs. Jane West, 84, of Florien, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, at 7:15
a.m., after an extended illness.

  Funeral services were held at the Prewitts Chapel Baptist
Church, Wednesday, Aug. 25, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Robert
Graham officiating. Interment was in the Prewitts Chapel
Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Surviving relatives are one son, M. C. West of Sieper, La.;
three daughters, Mrs. Elmina Kinkennon of Sacramento, Calif.,
Mrs. Dorothy Bardwell of Shreveport, Mrs. Ruth Ellzey of Florien;
two step daughters, Mrs. Inez Dowden of Hornbeck, and Mrs. Ila
Mae Davis of Longview, Tex.; one step son, Charlie Jett of
Florien; one sister, Jennie Dowden of Anacoco; 21 grandchildren,
and 4 great grandchildren.

  Mrs. West was a former resident of Shreveport, and attended
Calvary Baptist Church for 18 years.
