She was 84. Funeral services for Mrs. West were held Monday, September 12, at the Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel in Monroe, with interment following at the Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. T. Earl Ogg officiated. She is survived by one son, Raymond West of Many; five granddaughters, Mrs. Alice Middleton, Monroe, Mrs. Betty Barbara Cassel, and Mrs. Helen Carol Lacantra, both of New Orleans, Mrs. Merilyn Meyers, and Miss Wendy B. West, both of Many; two grandsons, W. Lee Halbrook, and A. Marshal Halbrook, both of Monroe; and four great grandchildren. Mrs. West was a member of the College Place Baptist Church in Monroe. A retired registered nurse, she had been a resident of Monroe for 50 years, and a native of Hamburg, Ark. Pallbearers were Willie Ward, James Harrison, Ricy Smith, Tom Middleton, Sandy Tillman, and M. L. Causey.
