All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Preston Eugene Wyatt Services for Preston Eugene "Gene" Wyatt, 41, of Shreveport, were at 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 18, in the Southside Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tom Riddel, pastor of Mid-City Baptist Church, officiating. Graveside services and burial were at 12:30 p.m., in Old Pisgah Cemetery near Marthaville. Mr. Wyatt died Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 16, at his home, from a gunshot wound. No foul play is suspected in the incident. A resident of Shreveport since 1952, he was an equipment operator for Caddo Paving Contracting. Mr. Wyatt was a member of St. John Berchmans Co-Cathedral, Musicians Local Union 116, and the U. S. Army Reserves. He is survived by his widow, Jo Wyatt of Shreveport; his mother, Bertie Wyatt of Shreveport; one son, Christopher Loran Wyatt of Shreveport; a daughter, Kimberly Rachelle Wyatt of Shreveport; three sisters, Rachael Isbell of Shreveport, Polly Reed, and Linda Joyce Murphy, both of Keithville; and two brothers, Clinton Wyatt of Waskom, Texas, and Dewey Wyatt of Shreveport. Pallbearers were Tillman Franks, David Houston, H. G. DesMarias Sr., Bill Jean, Ken Stewart, and Jim Hurley.
