Witte, 75, a former Shreveport resident, were held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 3, at Wellman's Funeral Home Chapel of Shreveport, with the Rev. Stanford Parnell, assistant pastor of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial followed in Forest Park Cemetery. Mr. Witte died Wednesday, Oct. 31, in a San Antonio, Tex. hospital, after a brief illness. A one year resident of San Antonio, he was a native of Alice, Tex. He was retired from the hotel-restaurant business. A member of the Christian Church, he was a 32nd degree Mason, and a Shriner. He was a member of McDonald No. 324 Blue Lodge of Independence, Mo. Survivors include his wife, Mamie Ruby Witte of San Antonio, Tex.; one son, Kenneth L. Witte of Shreveport; one daughter, Jo Ellen Davis of Adrian, Mo.; one brother, Frank Witte of Zwolle; six grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Pallbearers were Masons.
