Pastors officiating at the services included the Rev. Lee Collier, the Rev. Woodrow Williams, the Rev. Carl A. Lilly, the Rev. Willie Thrash, and the Rev. Lloyd Davis. Burial was in the New Jerusalem Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jack Taylor, Derrell Wayne Medlock, Bennett Thompson, Ned Robinson, Russell King, and Derry Vhoores. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Class of '51, and deacons of the church. Born in Many on Sept. 24, 1951, Mr. Wood was a 1972 graduate of Many High School. He was also a member of the Jerusalem Baptist Church. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Hazel Wood of Many; five sisters, Brenda Underwood, and Myra Wood, both of Many, Mrs. Annette Norvis, Mrs. Priscilla Kennedy, and Debra Wood, all of Los Angeles; two brothers, Gregory Wood, and Keith Wood, both of Los Angeles; his stepfather, Jesse Wolf of Many; his daughter, Sharonda of Many; his son, Ronnell of Houston, Tex.; two grandmothers, fifteen aunts and uncles; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
