Roger Marsh officiating. Burial was in the Naches City Cemetery near Palestine, Texas, under the direction of Hassell and Foster Funeral Home. Mrs. Witte died at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 6, 1985, in South Park Hospital in Shreveport. Mrs. Witte, a retired librarian at the Zwolle Public Library, had lived in Zwolle for 33 years. She was born in Wood County, Texas, February 7, 1984. She was the daughter of Buren Ray, and Vallie Thomas Ray. She is survived by her husband, Frank J. Witte, Sr., of Zwolle; two sons, Frank J. Witte, Jr. of Houston, Richard O. Witte of Odessa; three sisters, Cynthia West of Carthage, Freida Posey of Canton, Clayton Hilton of Palestine; two brothers, R. O. Lawrence Jr. of Houston, Fred E. Lawrence of Biggs, Calif.; six grandsons; one granddaughter; five great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
