"Jake" White Sr., 77, of Shreveport, were held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 17, in the Wellman Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating was Dr. J. G. Tharpe, pastor of the Baptist Tabernacle. Interment was at Centuries Memorial Park. Mr. White, a retired machinist, and lifelong resident of Shreveport, died Wednesday, April 15, 1987, in a Shreveport hospital. He was born in Homer, La. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Arlynn White of Shreveport; one son, James C. White Jr. of Shreveport; two daughters, Margaret Theriot of New Orleans, and Frances Macolly of Bossier City; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Ruby Aylkes of Zwolle, and Verdi Lee Trimble of Shreveport; and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were John Henrikson, Michael Theriot, Leroy McWhinney, Mike Murph, Jim Macolly, and Sid Macolly.
