Mrs. May Perot Tharpe Wood

  Mrs. May Perot Tharpe Wood passed away April 18, 1994, at
Schumpert Hospital in Shreveport. Funeral services were held at 2
p.m., Thursday, at Greenwood Cemetery. Officiating was the Father
John D. Kennedy of the Cathedral of St. John's Berchmans.

  Mrs. Tharpe Wood was a native of Shreveport, and moved here with
her family at an early age, from Coushatta, where she was born.
May graduated from St. Vincent's Academy. She was preceded in
death by her first husband, Edgar Allen Tharpe; her second
husband, Earl N. Wood; her two sons, Marshall Allen Tharpe, and
Edgar Allen Tharpe Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Lola May
Tullos of Many; her son, Gere Allen Tharpe of Houston; twelve
grandchildren; and twenty five great grandchildren.
