The Rev. Swindell Hodges officiated. Burial was in Beulah Cemetery in Marthaville. Mrs. Wood died Friday, Nov. 24, at Highland Hospital in Shreveport. She was a lifelong resident of Coushatta. Survivors are two daughters, Mary Evelyn Jowers and husband Orlean of Coushatta, and Bennie Ruth Stroud and husband Hershel of Hattiesburg, Miss.; three sisters, Inez Box of Natchitoches, Ida Middleton of Oil City, and Lizzie Prothro of Robeline; three brothers, Hal Durr of Allen, George Durr of Oak Grove, and Dick Durr of Robeline; five grandchildren, Jimmy Jowers and wife Kathy, Ben Robert Jowers and wife Lesa, Mary Polk and husband Ronnie, Connie Woolwine and husband Richard, Donna Inmon and husband Andy; nine great grandchildren, Preston Jowers, Joseph Jowers, James Jowers, John Woolwine, Daniel Woolwine, Brittney Woolwine, Ryan Polk, Steven Polk, and Stacey Inmon. Pallbearers were Jimmy Jowers, Ben Robert Jowers, Lonnie Bates, David Box, Richard Woolwine, Joseph Jowers, John Woolwine, and Sonny Durr.
