He was a clerical worker during his career. Funeral services were held on Friday, Dec. 20, at 10 a.m., at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Zwolle. Father Tim Hurd officiated, and burial followed in the church cemetery. Survivors include two sisters, Doris Rivers of Zwolle, and Pauline Fernandez of Baton Rouge; three brothers, Eldres James "Jim" Wethey, and George Frederick Wethey, both of Baton Rouge, and Henry Arnold Wethey of St. Francisville; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Joseph "Pie" Martinez, Roger Lopez, Ray Ebarb, Huey Cordova, Wesley Martinez, Gary Rivers, James "Bo" Brown, and Paul Meshell. Mr. Wethey was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ethel Wethey; and a baby sister, Dorothy Marie Wethey. Warren Meadows, Many, La.
