The Sabine Index - DeWitt C. Woods

  6 Jul 1951 - Funeral services for DeWitt C. Woods, 76, who
died suddenly at his home at Pleasant Hill Tuesday morning of
last week were held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Hil Baptist
church, assisted by Rev. J. C. Salley, Warren funeral home was in
charge of arrangements.

  Survivors include his widow, Ms. Lillie Woods of Pleasant Hill;
four sons, Clifton Woods, of Shreveport, D. C. Woods, Jr.,
Pleasant Hill; four daughters, Mrs. Mamie Bynum, Mrs. Jessie
Jamison, Mrs. Bertha Reed of Pleasant Hill and Mrs. Effie Carter
of Mt. Carmel; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Crump of Robeline, Mrs.
Mae Henderson of Jasper, Texas; 23 grandchildren and 22
great-grandchildren.
