Mrs. Cena W. Woods

  Mrs. Cena W. Woods, 78, of Shreveport, died Sunday, June 13, at
Schumpert Medical Center, after a long illness. Services were
held at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel, at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday,
June 15. Rose-Neath Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Officiating was the Rev. Albert Huckaby, pastor of Temple Baptist
Church. Burial was in Springridge Cemetery in Pleasant Hill. The
Order of the Eastern Star rites were observed at 4:45 .m.

  A native of Jena, Mrs. Woods had lived in Shreveport 31 years.
She was a housewife. A member of Temple Baptist Church, she was
affiliated with Broadmoor Chapter of the Order of the Eastern
Star No. 233.

  Survivors include her husband, Mr. Marcel Woods, Shreveport; a
son, Lawrence M. Woods, Natchitoches; two daughters, Mrs.
Elizabeth Spath, and Mrs. Ann Phillips, both of Shreveport; a
sister, Mrs. Martha Carolyn Brow, Houston, Tex.; two brothers,
Mr. Hardy Walker, Delhi, and Mr. Lee Walker, Jena; nine
grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Tom Peterson, Robert Anderson, Gene Ingram,
Randy Phillips, Lonnie Woods, Doug Feazell, W. L. Glidewell, and
Mike Walker. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Seborn Woods, Dr.
Robert L. Barrett, Tracy Grillette, Ellis Walker, Joe Therlot,
and Tyra Woods.
