Lt. Col. Ret. George K. Woods, Sr. (Photo)

  Services for Lt. Col. Ret. George K. Woods, Sr., 67, of
Shreveport, were held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, July 21, 1984, at
Marshall Street Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Officiating
was Dr. Austin B. Tucker, pastor of Shreve City Baptist Church.
Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery, with full military honors.

  Mr. Woods, Sr., a native of Baton Rouge, La., and a resident of
Shreveport since 1969, died Wednesday, July 18, 1984, at Keesler
Air Force Base Hospital in Biloxi, Miss. He was a member of
Shreve City Baptist Church, dist. commander of Office of Special
Investigations at Barksdale Air Force Base, before his
retirement, and graduate of Louisiana State University.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Imo Jean Isgitt Woods of
Shreveport; one son, Mr. George K. Woods, Jr., of Phoenix, Ariz.;
three step daughters, Karen Day, Kathy Hiser, Julie Miller; one
brother, Ref. Col. Van A. Woods Jr. of Wyandotte, Okla.

  Memorials may be made to Shreve City Baptist Church Building
Fund.
