D. C. Woods, Jr.

  Services for Mr. D. C. Woods, Jr. 74, of Shreveport, were held
at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 27, in Springridge Baptist Church in
Pleasant Hill. The Rev. J. P. King, associate pastor, officiated.
Burial was in Springridge Cemetery in Pleasant Hill.

  Mr. Woods, a native of Pleasant Hill, died Sunday, Aug. 25,
1985, in P and S Hospital, following a lengthy illness. He had
been a resident of Shreveport for 25 years.

  He is survived by two daughters, Ann Nicholas, and Virginia D.
Young, both of Shreveport; four grandchildren; two brothers, Otho
Woods of Pleasant Hill, and J. C. Woods of Shreveport; two
sisters, Mrs. Jessie Todd of Shreveport, and Mrs. Bertha Reed of
Pleasant Hill; and a number of nieces and nephews.
