  Maudie Woods - September 27, 1973

  Mrs. Maudie E. Woods, 65, died Monday, Sept. 24, in the
Physicians and Surgeons Hospital after a short illness.

  A native of Pleasant Hill Mrs. Woods had resided in Shreveport
for 20 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Springridge
Baptist Church with the Rev. Step Martin, pastor of Calvary
Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Springridge Cemetery
in Pleasant Hill under the direction of Wellman's Funeral Home.

  Survivors include her husband, D. C. Woods; two daughters, Mrs.
Bob D. Young, and Mrs. E. N. Nicholas, both of Shreveport; two
brothers, S. C. Stockton of Shreveport and J. P. Stockton of
Converse; one sister, Mrs. T. L. Dowling of Converse and four
grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Randall Brown, John Milner, Doyle Stockton,
Gregg Imhoff, L. A. Brown and Bill Milner.
