Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Houston River Baptist Church, and interment will follow at Royer Cemetery in Sulphur. The Rev. Lonnie Gothrup will officiate. Mr. Watkins was a native of Sulphur, and a resident of Many. He worked for Xerox for 25 years. He was Chairman of the Board of Case Esperonza, and a member of Houston River Baptist Church in Sulphur. He served in the U. S. Navy for four years. Survivors include his widow, Elva Raman Watkins of Many; mother, Leona Watkins of Sulphur; three sons, Darold, Jerry, and Kevin; two daughters, Lisa, and Tina; four step children, Bill Haman,. Russell Haman, Guy Haman, and Chris Woods; brother, Terry Watkins of Winston-Salem, N. C.; sister, Janet Gibson of Sulphur; and 12 grandchildren.
