All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Myra Whitaker Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Aug. 16, at 4 p.m., at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Myra Mae Whitaker, 70, of Shreveport, who died Friday at Willis-Knighten Hospital, after a brief illness. A native of Many, she had been a Shreveport resident for 12 years, and was a member of the Methodist Church. The Rev. Marvin Hardy, pastor of the Longstreet Baptist Church, officiated at the services and burial in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Survivors include five sisters, Mrs. V. A. Fonville of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mrs. Loree Addais, and Mrs. H. A. Lainh, both of Shreveport, Mrs. Tommy Akin of Waskom, Tex., and Mrs. Johnny Gamble of Longsreet; two brothers, W. T. Daily of Woodville, Tex., and Nathan B. Daily of Port Arthur, Tex. Pallbearers were W. B. Daily, James Finley, Wilson Fonville, Foster Gamble, A. B. Lamb, and Ronald Register.
