The Sabine Index - James J. Whittaker 
  
  12 May 1939 - Last rites for James J. Whittaker were held at 
Pleasant View church Tuesday at 10 o'clock with Rev. Kennedy of 
Mt. Carmel officiating. The Dennis-Green funeral home was in 
charge of the funeral. 
  
  Surviving are eight children, five daughters, Mrs. Minnie Tilly, 
Beaumont, Texas, Mrs. J. D. Young, Mrs. Julia Dupree, Mrs. Mary 
Alice Latil and Miss Aline Whittaker; three sons, Johnie, Wilmer 
and Ivy.
