The Sabine Index - Penn Whittaker

  July 19, 1973

  Penn Whittaker, 40, died suddenly at his home in Florien
Tuesday, July 10.

  Survivors are his widow; one son, Richard E. Whittaker of
Florien; one brother, James Whittaker of Evans; six sisters, Mrs.
Jewel Vantine of Los Poosas, N.M., Mrs. Elsie Dunn of Byron, Ga.,
Mrs. Cordie Davis of Leesville, Mrs. Fannie B. Erwin of Anacoco
and Mrs. Audrey Keel of Anacoco.

  Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 12, in the
Beach Grove Methodist Church with the Rev. I. D. Noble
officiating. Burial was in the Beach Grove Cemetery in Anacoco
under the direction of the Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
