(Bill) Whittaker 13 Jul 1956 - Wilmer D. (Bill) Whittaker, 41, of Beaumont, Texas, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. J. (Bud) Whittaker, died at 6 a.m. Thursday, July 5, in Hotel Dieu after a week's illness. A native of Florien, Mr. Whittaker had lived in Beaumont 15 years and had been employed by Magnolia Petroleum Co., refinery for 13 years as a labor foremen. He was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include his wife, daughters, Mrs. Jo Ann Gavinalno of Reno, Nev., Miss Bobbie Jean Whittaker of Many; Mrs. Joan Bostick of Beaumont, Texas,; two brothers, J. F. Whittaker of Leesville, I. C. Whittaker of Patuxent, Md., five sisters, Mrs. Ray Latiel, and Mrs. Minnie Tilley of Beaumont; Mrs. Reed Buis of Angelton, Texas; Ms. J. D. Yong of Thibodaux; Mrs. E. L. Dupree of Many, Rt. 4, and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Roberts and Pipkin-Brulin Funeral Home chapel. Interment was in Rock Springs cemetery in Nacogdoches, Texas.
