Oscar S. Wedgeworth

  Mr. Oscar S. Wedgeworth of Amarillo, Texas, died May 9, 1986.
Funeral services were at First Baptist Church Chapel, Amarillo,
on May 12, with Dr. Winfred Moore officiating. Interment was in
Llano Cemetery.

  Surviving children of Mr. Wedgeworth are Hazel W. Ewing, Bill,
and Rex Wedgeworth, all of Amarillo.

  Some older Sabine Parish residents will remember Mr. Wedgeworth.
He was born in Aimwell Community, June 8, 1894, to Stanley Van
and Samantha Ezell Wedgeworth. He attended school at Aimwell, and
later moved to Zwolle, where he attended Zwolle High School.

  Mr. Wedgeworth will be greatly missed by a number of nieces and
nephews in Sabine and Caddo Parishes, and elsewhere. He visited
here almost every summer, but he was not able to come after 1984.

  Attending his funeral from this area were Elzie and Robert
Wedgeworth, Inez W. Townsend, and La Moyne W. Salter.
