Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 5, 1996, at Aimwell Baptist Church in Zwolle. Rev. Steve Neesley, and Dr. Vernon Stephenson officiated. Interment was in Aimwell Cemetery, under the direction of Les Fontaine Funeral Home. Clara Mae Wedgeworth was born, the daughter of Cavil Bray and Minerva Nabours in Sabine Parish, on December 2, 1914, and entered into rest in Many, on April 2, 1996. Thus she attained the age of 81 years, and 4 months. Ms. Clara met and married her husband of 60 years, Elzie V. Wedgeworth. They lived in Beaumont, Tex. For many years, and later retired in their birthplace here in the Aimwell Community on Toledo Bend Lake, Zwolle. Ms. Clara loved the Lord, her church, and her family. She was also known for her love of music. She sang with the Aimwell Baptist Church Choir until she became disabled. She is survived by her loving husband, Elzie V. Wedgeworth of Zwolle; two sons, Wayne Wedgeworth and his wife Norma of Houston, and Donald Wedgeworth and his wife Phyllis of Florence, S. C.; four grandchildren, Van, and Lynn Wedgeworth of Houston, Steven Wedgeworth of Florence, S. C., and Sally Whitfield of Burgow, N. C.; four great grandchildren, Wade Whitfield, and Zachary, Tristen, Clay, and Colby Wedgeworth; two brothers, Kelsie, and Willard Bray of Zwolle; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. K. C. Bray Jr., J. C. Bridges, Edward Ferris, Bob Bonner, Hoover Rowland, and Charles Lopez served as active pallbearers, and the remaining Deacons of the Aimwell Baptist Church, served as honorary pallbearers.
