Roger Greer officiating. Assisting will be the Rev. Dick Page. Burial was in the New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mr. Whitehead died Friday, July 1, 1988, at Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston following a brief illness. He was a cattle farmer, and school bus driver with the Lincoln Parish School System. He was a lifelong resident of Choudrants and a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Florence Whitehead of Choudrant, two daughters, Anita Murphey of Ruston, Karen Silmon of Farmerville, La.; his Oscar Whitehead of West Monroe, La.; two brothers, Cleo Whitehead of Shreveport, Clayton Whitehead of Vicksburg., Miss.; four sisters, Catherine McGrew of West Monroe, Faye Hale of Bossier City, Ruby Lyons of Many, Mary Brown of West Monroe, tree grandchildren.
