"Shorty" Woodle, 68, of Shreveport, were held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 25, at Aimwell Baptist Church near Zwolle. The Rev. Doug Myers, pastor of Mansfield Road Baptist Church, where Mr. Woodle was a member, officiated. Burial was at Aimwell Baptist Church Cemetery near Zwolle. Mr. Woodle, a resident of Shreveport since 1949, died Monday, March 23, 1987, at Willis-Knighton Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. He was retired as a cabinet maker with Windham Woodwork and Supply Co., Inc., and was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was born in Robeline. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lola Mae Woodle of Shreveport; his mother, Mrs. Clair Mae Woodle of Many; a son, Johnny Wayne Woodle, and a daughter, Dorothy Lafitte of Shreveport; one sister, Velma Lee Bell of Ft. Jesup; six brothers, Buey Woodle of Negreet, Ruben Woodle of Many, Cecil Woodle, and Herschel Woodle, both of El Dorado, Ark., Arthur Woodle of Lake Charles, Kenneth Woodle of Fairfax, Va.; two half brothers; one half sister; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were employees of Windham Woodworks and Supply Co., Inc.
