All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** William Wyman Waddle Services for William Wyman Waddle, 71, were held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1993, at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel in Shreveport. Officiating was Rev. Wayne DuBose, pastor of Summer Grove Baptist Church. Graveside services were at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, in Springridge Cemetery near Pleasant Hill. Mr. Waddle died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1993, at Willis-Knighton South, after a long illness. He was born in Pleasant Hill, and had resided in Shreveport for 47 years. Mr. Waddle was a retired heavy equipment operator for T. L. James Construction Co. He was a Baptist, and a veteran of the U.S. Army, World War II. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Loyce Waddle of Shreveport; daughter, Virginia Woody of Nashville, Tenn.; one sister, Olean Clay of La Place, La.; one brother, Jessie Ray Waddle of Pleasant Hill, La.; grandsons, Bryan Puckett, and Jamie Puckett; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Don Hasty, Jerry Hasty, Bobby Waddle, Billy Waddle, Glen Brown, Gene Waddle, Ronnie Clay, and Rodger Clay. The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff at Willis-Knighton South, and to Dr. Combs.
