Burial followed at Forest Park West. Mrs. Whatley died Tuesday, Feb. 13, at her residence, after a brief illness. She was born in Many, and had resided in Shreveport for the past 50 years. Mrs. Whatley was a sitter for the elderly, and a Catholic. Survivors include her husband, George W. Whatley of Shreveport; three daughters, Lynda Mitchell (husband Melvin) of Many, Joan Livingston of Shreveport, and Brenda Solar of New Orleans; one stepson, Keith Alan Whatley (wife Jennifer) of Hamburg, N. J.; one stepdaughter, Brenda Lowery (husband Tim) of Sussex, N. J.; one sister, Iva Mae Toujoise of New Orleans; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Pallbearers were Billy Haynes, Don Pilkinton, James Coile, Glenn Barclay, H. G. Moore, H. C. Barclay, and C. D. McLendon.
