All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Acey William Whitlock Funeral services for Mr. Acey William Whitlock, 88, were held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, March 2, 1996, in the Mansfield Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home. The Rev. Guy Murphrey officiated. Burial followed in the Magnolia Cemetery in the Hunter Community. Mr. Whitlock was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Logansport, Mount Vernon #083. He was also a member of the Iron Workers Local 591, and owned and operated Circle Drive Marina, until his health failed. He was also a U. S. Army World War II veteran. Mr. Whitlock died Thursday, Feb. 29, at the Mansfield Nursing Center. Survivors include his wife, Mary Whitlock of Mansfield; two sons, Franklin William Whitlock (wife Martha), and Malcolm Acey Whitlock, both of Mansfield; two sisters, Myrtle Mabry, and Georgia Smith, both of Mansfield; one grandson, Nathan William Whitlock; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Carl Whitlock, Roger Whitlock, Ed Campbell, Paul Lawhorn, Ricky Weeks, and Robert Daniels. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Sayers, C. L. Sayers, L. C. "Bubba" Blunt, and Jarrell O. Burch.
