Mrs. Everett Whitney

  Funeral services for Mrs. Everett L. Whitney of Leesville, were held at 3 p.m., Monday,
in the Hixson Funeral chapel, with the Rev. M. C. Green, pastor of the First United
Pentecostal Church of Leesville officiating. Burial was in the Leesville Cemetery.

  Mrs. Whitney died Friday morning in the Ft. Polk Army Hospital, after a long illness.

  Survivors include her husband, Sgt. L. C. Everett L. Whitney of Leesville; a son, Larry
S. Whitney of Leesville; a daughter, Mrs. Cloyce Virginia Yowell of Houston, Tex.; a
brother, Henry Brown of Many; and two sisters, Mrs. Gertie Mae Stewart of Florien, and
Mrs. Maude Pemberton of Port Neches, Tex.
