The Sabine Index - John Whittington 
  
  1 Sep 1939 - Last rites for John Whittington, who passed away at 
the family residence in Many at 12 noon Tuesday, wee held at the 
Prospect church Wednesday evening at 3 p.m., Rev. L. N. Hoffpauir 
officiating, with the Masons participating. Dennis-Green funeral 
home directed the funeral. 
  
  Pallbearers were: A. L. Head, W. K. Logan, Loy McInnis, Joe 
Anderson, Laverne Dailey and Bob Carson. Honorary pallbearers: 
all friends of the family. 
  
  Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Eula Whittington, and three 
children, Agnes, Dorris and Lessie, also two brothers, I. C. and 
G. W. Whittington, two sisters, Mrs. Stella Harrison and Mrs. J. 
S. Lemaster.
